With winter here, I still have yet to see any snow. Animals are scavenging for any resources left, and we may be surprised by what we see survive after the winter. The way people shifted ecosystems by intentionally or unintentionally bringing species from other places is slowly starting to destroy resources we need.

Invasive species are species which come from a country/ ecosystem not native in and causes harm. While it is unseen as an issue by most, invasive species pose as a risk to natives by taking resources, overpopulating, and essentially changing the entire ecosystem for the worse. Here, I chose to express this sense of invasion through use of color in the fox's pelt compared to the coyotes in the background. Based on the area I live in, red foxes are invasive while coyotes are native, yet people still kill them regularly for pest invasion. What we should be doing is prevention especially now, when pet owners tend to release their pets once they can not take care of them.
