This is really stunning, Mike. It's a strange detail to be drawn to, but I can't stop staring at the stretch of the muscles across her ribs and back. She feels more torn and tortured until you see her face. It's an interesting juxtaposition! I'm looking forward to seeing this complete.

Lovely composition! I adore the grey scale of this, I can't wait for see the finished oil! The overall tone and emotion of this piece hold well for me...on everything except the broken pillar in the upper right. Specifically, the rubble between the two pieces of the broken pillar feel disjointed in my opinion. It breaks the natural flow your eyes want to take on the upward gaze past the knees, coming from the bottom right. What are your thoughts on the pillar position? Were you aiming for a specific flow with this piece?
