Work of a concentration piece for my art class. This is my own take on color blocking before I go into the details, which is a new technique I wanted to try out. It's allowed me to get a better grasp of color and form.

The concentration will consist of 12 pieces, each depicting a section of an idea of pure vs impure. The idea is visualized through the embrace of a human, that of which is usually perceived as impure or imperfect through many cultures, and an angel which in such cultures and beliefs is thought to be perfect and pure.
As the pieces progress, the ultimate destruction of the angel's pureness takes place as it is corrupted by the simple embrace of human. This 12 piece concentration plays with the personal growth away from youth as well as the idea of character being corrupted by surrounding entities when allowed.
