it's very difficult to me to write in english this things, but i'll try
When the sun it's too warm we have to use high stop like F10, but the problem of high stop it's the background, it will be too visible and the face will lose importance, then we'll have to use high shutter speed, in this mode there's no much time to impress the background, the bokeh effect appears, and the back will be blurred. This blur affect drammatically the shot, first plane: the face will be totally focused. Second plane: the background blurred by bokeh effect, giving more importance to the first plane. i think this should be helpfull, if i missed something or you don't understand sorry for my english
