Description
This is a Pinup colored by Alex Sinclair..the colorist of "Identity Crisis"..
Since Alex mostly works with digital color on the comics..
such as the "Jim Lee" Batman series..
it's kinda cool to see what his hand colored work looks like.
This Pinup was sold to a collector awhile back..
and he must have had a copy done of the original art
for Alex to color.

Nice work! I'm very impressed with how the colouring complements the details in the pic without overwhelming them.

The man still rocks it as hard as Bobby Darin, even when he's working with watercolour. If it wasn't for Alex Sinclair, I'd have given up on cuts and grads as the rest of the comics industry was sending a negative message about what is and isn't obsolete. Love the guy's work and it's nice to see he keeps his sense of lighting in traditional media too.

SpiderGuile,
it is tough to draw a woman with all that crazy
jazz on her costume..
with all the details..
and still keep the "line of rhythm"..
and a Pinup is nothing..
if it has crappy design & flow.

She looks almost regal here.
IOne of the few pics of her I've seen that I can honestly say I like.

it's very "old school"...
this was the way inwhich colorists colored comics..
they would paint in the colors..
then remark the areas with color-codes..
so the printers knew which inks to mix & use..
original color guides for comics..
are very different then a traditional water-color..
and it's not fair to compare them.

I like the character a lot, but I've always found to be a humorous character despite her origins.
