Nah, just the character in general. With every villain being retconned into a threat on a massive scale (ie Skrulls), its nice to see a tribute to the classic "rent-a-thugs" like AIM or Hydra.

Storylines come and go..
who even remembers what the fallout of the last Skrull story was..jeez...
although I believe Alan Davis drew it..
as an artist it's better not to be overly concerned with all the current silliness..

Amazing in its own right but I'd swear there's a hats off to Steranko/Gulacy in there! Love the movie poster composition! Sexy piece...err...the artwork, of course.
