A new commission for *airbenderxiao . This is a "wild hunt" (a myth in which a cursed person or group is doomed to chase night after night a prey that he will never catch), composed of lost Crusaders and victims of the Black Plague.Drawing pen and rotring pens on bristol (29,7cm x 42cm).

This reminded me of various artwork by so many great artists involving what was called the Danse Macabre in medieval times. At least that is what immediately came to mind.

I've heard other variants of the Wyld Hunt. From an Autumnal hunt lead by a powerful fey, to a cursed king and his dogs chasing over mountain tops. Always wicked cool imagery.
