Haha. My grandfather was a fisherman. It's one of the few things I remember about him (he died when I was like 7 or so). Even though I'm vegetarian now, I still wish there was some humane way to go fishing. I miss it. Happy memories, ya know?

I used to stay with my grandfather every summer. He could do anything. Still miss him

My grandfather was always the one who fixed everything. If it was broken, you took it to PopPop and he fixed it. That was that. He was a round little Slovak man and smoked lots of cigars. And my Grandmom was a very sweet round little Ukranian woman, and I can still remember the scent of the lotion she used. I can't remember what kind - but it came in a pink bottle. They both died within one year of each other. I don't miss them - they died when I was still young, but as I've gotten older, I really enjoy learning about who they were from some of my older relatives and learning about our traditions and stuff.

Hey you are a good writer you should write more about them, maybe with some old pictures you could scan to your site. It sounds really heart felt!
