One day my fantasy will come true and Nintendo will call me up and ask me to design their next big franchise adventure despite my lack of experience or ability to communicate in Japanese. Legend of Zelda came out in February of 1986. Now assuming that the TV show Captain N is correct, and that the things we see in the game are a reflection of an actual "Game World" in which actual living beings, though made of code instead of matter, go on adventure that we survey in 8 bit, and perform actions that just so coincidentally matches the input we enter into the game itself, it stands to reason that the beginning of the adventure for Link started when the game released. This is also known as the Reboot theory or the No One Cares Chris Causality Claim.
However! We must take into account the age Link was during his adventure. Even though he is small, it is hard to believe that Link could be anything younger than 15, but his youthful face, gaunt frame, and hairstyle makes it hard to believe he is anything older than 19.
Therefore it could be argued that Link is now in his early to mid Forties.
Also, I just wasted your time by writing something that only a troubled youngster on a Zelda forum would waste his time writing, a bored weirdo would waste his time reading, and a man that likes to shout at mountains to move for arguing against.
