Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it! I've always been embarrassed by the stiffness of this pose and simplistic background, but hindsight is always critical! I would like to do a new Revolutionary times illustration some day

No, it's great! It reflects him as a man and a soldier very well - he had need to be a little nervous, fighting the powerful Brits and all. But the simplistic background and the painting style I feel reflect the time period as well. The principle of the time, though heavy and dangerous, was simple: independence.
