Description “Endless Dreaming”
24x24x2” Acrylic paint and graphite on wood.
This is a piece made for Black and Brown’s Seven Year anniversary. It’s a collection of artists who have had solo shows in their store over the last Seven years. Each artist has been tasked with creating a piece based on the theme of Seven.
When making the piece the first Ideas that came to mind were the seven layers of hell and the seven deadly sins. Then came snow white and even lucky sevens, I wanted something that was (most likely) not to be done for this show, so I went to my comic book roots.
I almost never do “fan art” but then again I always wanted to so a Sandman piece. So painting the seven Endless in my way turned out to be a ton of fun. It was cool doing something a little different then what I’ve been doing lately.
In fact I tried to paint this piece a little different, more like a water color and very little use of spray paint for the back ground characters and go heavy like when I do an oil painting for the foreground.
The reception is on the 31st. I believe the work will be hung next week.
