I thought about painting a orange wash along the top of the reed's on the far bank John but glad I didn't as the light colour work's well as a contrast with the red colour on the near bank.

I like the contrast too. I think an orange wash would very easily have become too much. Beautiful painting.

I like the way with watercolour's Lisa, One false move and you've ruined the effect.
