Great picture, such a dramatic scene, i like the movement and contrasting colours.

Thank you very much! Β Yeah, the movement was the main thing I wanted and knew I needed to have blue in it - which worked out great as a contrast to the red of the lava. Β

Yes, it works really well. Sort of a "fire and ice" contrast (even though the sword itself is flaming). -

Yep yep! Β
Have you ever played "Drawception"? Β They have a nice fire and ice palette, and some people make gorgeous pics using its inherent contrast.

No, I haven't played that, though it seems interesting (based on its description, I used to play a similar game with pencil on paper with my friends and it was often tremendously funny ).
But I can imagine such palette provides for great pictures. In fact one of my own personal favourites from my gallery is

Ooh, that is a nice piece and a great example of the palette. Β I like your armor designs, love the knotwork around the borders, and think it's a great showing of the contrast between the brothers.

Great sense of a dramatic moment, a shattering climax... and such an incredibly sad story.

Thank you. Β Yep, it is sad. Β "as are all the tales of Middle-earth," Aragorn said. Β I don't think they ALL are sad, though there is certainly tragedyΒ and loss in most of them.

Middle Earth was not a place of enduring happiness--it was ever beautiful, and tragic.

Much like our physical world. Β Tolkien's eyes were open.

Oh indeed. Β He obviously put much wisdom about our world into his own. Β Much found in his writings is applicable to life.

Very nice. And you actually got the sword positioning right for once . Well...assuming this is post-strike at least. If it's pre-strike, of course, then it's completely the wrong way around.
