Description
The topic for Creature of the Week on conceptart.org this week is "Predator Predator." I imagined a creature that the Predators used as a training exercise for young neophyte Predators. It floats silently through the forests of the Predators home planet. Freshman Predators must face and survive these creatures before being allowed off-world on the ritual hunts. Those that don't survive generally get plucked out of the tree tops, carried away and eaten. Yum....Dreadlocks.Related content

Neat. I like how the shape of it's tail is similar to the Pred's wristblades. I guess that explains where they got the idea.

Keiton: yah, indeed... like the klingon targ... even pets would be pretty mean on the Predator planet. This creature has the natural advantage of being airborne I think.
bohnded: Hahahaha. Yes, I've seen that, of course. That's actually a nice throwback to my college days. There's a slight surrealism to just about everything I do...
thanks guys!

I finally realized what your current style reminds me of: Fantastic Planet
I'm sure you must have seen it before. (I watched it way too many times. Great movie!)
Anyway, great piece. The spots on the baloon/gas bag are so perfect. They seem to make sense to me.
I didn't even notice the Predator for a while.
Great job!
Will

And you must be aware of the fact that the environment that produced such an highly intelligent killer mashine as the predator gotta be pretty agressive and difficult to survive in.
