you know, the only problem i have with emily is that we don't know that much about her apart form she's a redhead, she's tracer's girlfriend and she's possibly british.
i hope Blizzard gives her some development becasue i don't want "tracer's girlfriend" to be her defining characteristic.

They've actually been trying to make some effort in the last few years. Chris Metzen (now retired but a major actor in OW's creation) said having a daughter made him far more conscious of what he was writing. They presented OW with a roster that had as many female character as male (and 2 years later it is still the case, there is one more male but that's if you include the Gorilla) and when criticized for the lack of diversity in body shapes for female character they released characters such as Mei, Zarya and Ana (finally a bad-ass old woman T_T those should not be that rare in games). So basically their track record on OW has been overwhelmingly positive. They make mistakes, but they try to address them.
And now they make good on their promise that yes, they'll actually address the fact that some of their characters are LGBT+ and not just say it. They sure can do more, but they really are trying.

Doesn't matter what people who aren't involved with the game want. Plus, does it even make sense for Widowtracer to be canon? Like, I think it's a fun ship, but both of them try to kill each other every time they meet.
And this does literally nothing to the stuff people already made. That's why it's call fanworks.
