Kronika heavily reminds me of Irish singer and songwriter SinΓ©ad O'Connor. For the first time ever,the main antagonist in a Mortal Kombat title is female. Anyone who can freely manipulate time is not somebody you ever want to have as your enemy. So she is a Goddess? That would explain her immense power. Those sad and pathetic excuses for Power Rangers will not be missed. It cannot be overstated that even her name allude to what kind of power she has. It seems she can even freely teleport with the greatest of ease. KronikaΒ has made quite the impact in your first comic featuring her.Β

Indeed, first ever in MK's story. Not only she's a Elder God of Life and Light, she has crazy powers like having powers like sandstorm, telekinesis, fire storm, erase someone from history, I have no idea how to top that. Yup, looks like she's getting what she want by erasing certain characters from history. Holy crap.

Actually Kronika isn't an elder god, she is a Titan. The elder gods Cetrion and Shinnok are her children.
Titans predate the elder gods.
Also Cetrion embodies light and life so as to counterbalance her brother Shinnok who represent darkness and death.
Kronika seeks balance.
By making the forces of light and Darkness battle for all of eternity in a never ending STALEMATE!

So now Netherrealm Studios is incorporating Greek mythology into the series. How forcing the two sides of light and dark to battle for all of eternity to keep the balance between them is simply outlandish.

Honestly, wasn't too sure how that was supposed to work either. But her basic goal is to have the forces fight each other over and over, and if she believes one side has gained an irrevocable advantage she just resets time and does it all over again.
And apparently the reason Lui Kang keeps dying is because she believes he gives the forces of Light too great an advantage. So she manipulates destiny to kill him, usually through Raiden.

That sounds like a terrible fate for everybody involves. But since none of them are any wiser and have caught on to her scheme then I suppose for her,no harm no foul. As for me though,Lui Kang should stay dead. He never should have been the main protagonist of Mortal Kombat in the first place.
