Description
I've been on a Tex Avery kick these last few days. Watching the cartoons and studying the model sheets has not only been a lot of fun, but has been a great help when it comes to my drawing. The designs are (deceivingly) simple, made up almost completely of basic shapes, but represent the bare-bones fundamentals of character construction, appeal and strong posing. Even the most detailed of cartoon characters are made of the same basic principles that Tex's characters have. But I digress...Here's two of my favorite (and more popular of) Tex Avery characters: The Wolf and the his pint-sized pursuer, Droopy.

This is incredible! Well done! I wish they made new Droopy shorts every so often, one a year or one every two years would do me!
Instant fav! You have some serious skills!

Sargent D. McPoodle of the Mounties is no Canuckle head. I bought an old lazerdisc player just so I could watch all of Tex Avery's cartoons UNENCUMBERED by politically correct censorship. When will people get it through their heads: Al Joltson was not like other minstrels. He was an early version of these white people who have black envy, albeit not so delusional. He adored jazz, he had friends all over Harlem, he wished he could be a part of that. He was no racist, and therefore, satirical portrayals of him are not racist.

Most of today's cartoons suck and don't make no sense at all,but these and old cartoons from back in the day like Tex Avery's classics will always be the best! My favorite part of this one was when the wolf first saw mountie droopy and started running over and across the hills, bell ringing all the way to that cabin! LOL! See this was the real stuff! kids of today have no idea of when we were their age back in the day.

Really awesome, man. Tex Avery was a comedic genius and the people that worked under him were talented artists.
