Description
This guy is a genetically manipulated prize fighter. It started as a research for an uncommon characterdesign. For my personal stuff i prefer this style where the brushstrokes are still visible, rather than getting too realistic. Completely done in painter.This image has been awarded the CG Choice Award forums.cgsociety.org/showthreaβ¦
There is also a tutorial of the artwork on CGTalk: features.cgsociety.org/story_cβ¦

Aha! This guy's so freakin' badass! I'd bet he'd beat the brains out of Rocky even in his deathbed. At least, what's left of his brains xD;;

in small view he looks real, more like a REALLY good photomanip. At big view, he still looks real, but takes on a whole new style of art.

That is incredibly creepy... I saw the thumbnail in the DD list (congrats, by the way!) and thought it was a photo for half a second before I noticed the ears and looked closer.

I don't know, it looks like it'd be all too easy for someone to take a chunk out of his ear. Tempting move.

Wow, that's quite well done. Great first. The bloodstains are a nice touch too. The forehead makes me chuckle for whatever reason.

Finally a DD that shows both and great idea as well as a brilliant execution.
Your finish is flawless but what i'm really captivated by is the simple yet unique idea you have pin-pointed. Your use of subtle yet strong colours and the lighting says a lot about the character while maintaining a sense of ambiguity and uniqueness.
Brillient work all together

you know, the funny thing is, is that the book Animal Farm is about a whole bunch of animals who take over a farm in order to make this sort of animal communism, it was based off of soviet russia during WW2, but anyways, the leader of this animal communism is a pig named Napolean, which really doesnt apply to this, but on the farm there is also a horse named boxer happens to be really fucking strong. i thought it was a funny coincidence is all. good job though

Its great stuff man. Its slightly realistic because I saw this guy that sorta looked like that without the ears. It was pretty weird. But I love it may. A+!

No, I'd say your guy would beat Danny Devito in a runway walk off, if such an event were to be planned (a la Zoolander).
