and i listen to pretty much everything. but as o what i play on my ipod the most it's mainly post-punk, industrial, hardcore, black metal,and drum n bass.

eh. i don't consider rock or metal good music. there are good artists in every genre. and there are fucking awful artists in every genre.
and i think that statistic is very off. metal and rock is so mainstream now with all the garbage bands and all the little kiddies shopping at hot topic.

really? I haven't ever been to hot topic because it looks like a junk store and I don't pay attention to most music other than metal. There is terrible music but then again music is a personal opinion and if it makes a person happy then it doesn't bother me. That wasn't really a statistic...more or less a typical thing a person see's on a day to day basis like on iTunes the top hits are most of the time pop music (wasn't a fact I should have explained that a little better sorry ^^) You seem very familiar with music then...what do you listen to if you rule out just about most genre?

i listen to good artists from every genre. i'm a musician so i'd like to think i know at least a little about music. and it's irritating when no talent trash bands are the most popular ones out there (like BVB).
from what i've observed more people listen to shitty rock music than pop music.

yes. lot's of girls are starting to like these rock/metal bands for the lead singer such as Andy Sixx. I don't think they really pay attention from a musical side. That's what I have noticed...not a fact

eh they're pretty damn awful. the only reason they have fans is because little girls want to hump andy.
i'm actually joining a band that toured with bvb.. but it's not 100% yet so i can't really say who it is.
i listen to a lot of industrial. which you're probably unfamiliar with so i won't name specific bands.
most of the heavy music i listen to is like woe, is me. miss may i. the black dahlia murder. modern day escape. a skylit drive.
and i listen to a lot of less hard music like coheed and cambria. alkaline trio. depeche mode. she wants revenge. etc
i could go on forever. but yeah.
oh and i listen to a lot of old school hip-hop and drum n bass.

I listen to a lot of industrial actually, a friend on here does his own and got me hooked. haha very good taste in music I must say. some I haven't heard I'll go look it up. Thank's a bunch MichaelMacabre.
