Description Lioness - Alexandria Zoo , Egypt ........ Photo By Me

Interesting Fact " In the wild, males seldom live longer than 10 years, as injuries sustained from continual fighting with rival males greatly reduce their longevity "

Great shot, composition is awesome my friend!

I just think the colors are a little overcooked, the greens look almost artificial, and maybe took out a little of the attention in the subject, that is a magnificent creature!Β

I agree with you that green is looking artificial & even looks as plastic as i think ,
This photo was taken about 5 months age , I was really like to bright the colours & increase its saturation , it was over colours , now i try to balance between " Saturation , brightness , contrast "

Also , It was shot with no flash mode , now i using both aperture mode & shutter mode only
For Shutter mode , I use speed 1/200 as my lens is 55 - 200 mm , it really gives me very good results
For Aperture mode , I use F 4 , 11 , 22 , that's make beautiful blurring or details according to photo

Thanks

I donΒ΄t even use any other mode than "M"

@ 200mm 1/200 is not enought for really sharp shots... i preferer something in between 1/400 and /640. @ 55mm with u can use in between 1/80 and 1/200.

Aperture with your lens i was tending to use always the wide open aperture, only in really well lightned scenes i was using something between F6.3 and F9, F22 will give you some distorcion, good DOF, but u loose a lot of detail!

Lets see the new results...
