On my list of ideas, this one has been at the top for a long time. I love bonsai trees (and own a few) so i guess it was only a matter of time before I merged my two passions!This is modeled after the most common type of tree used in Bonsai, the Juniper. I really like those, and Japanese Maples. (Maybe that is next)
You may have noticed there are wires around her arms. Pretty much every bonsai needs to be wired to get a unique look and it is ok to display the trees in shows with the wires still on. I see it here as a metaphor to the necessity of human interaction to create 'beauty.' Now, in my opinion the female figure needs no assistance to be beautiful but a little tinkering doesn't hurt.

Hey, I never told you but two years ago, I got this tattooed onto my upper arm with the quote "I will be a tree that you come home to".
My brother turned 18 and I got it done for him. The quote comes from an old children's story called 'The Runaway Bunny'. In the story, the bunny turns into all kinds of things to run away from his mother, the last being a bird. My brother is my little bird and I am his tree.
I looked around for design ideas for nearly two years, saw this and instantly fell in love.
So thank you for a beautiful design and I hope you're proud of your amazing work.

I love this one. Everytime I see it I just think of Mother Nature and imagining her twisting out of the tree to help a wounded animal or something.
I've been looking on Deviantart forever to find your work since it's so beautiful and inspirational.

Inspired piece, man. It's in itself so beautiful, but its also so open to allow any number of statements that can be made by showing this off. I'd love to have this piece hanging somewhere just to wow people as an icebreaker.

In both concept and execution, this piece is quite intriguing. The concept of tree people is of course ancient, but I haven't run across the bonsai variant before. There is also something indecipherable about her expression that invites you to keep looking.

It all blends very well. Using the "Jin" technique(bleaching the wood w/ acid) is tricky and youve captured it very well. I really enjoy this piece and it makes me want to see your collection if you can get inspiration from them they must be absolutley stunning. I myself have a Juniper and a Red Maple sapling.
