Apparently, in the future, when all races have combined everyone will have red hair, medium skin tone, and Asian eyes. I don't think red hair would have worked too well for this image so I shaved her
The model for this image (Maria), living in Hong Kong but from Russian Siberia, struck me as the kind of person who is a survivor, so a futuristic image works well for her.
(she's not really bald)

Red hair is recessive, so that doesn't make sense. The Asian eyes and the medium skin tone make much more sense, though a medium skinned majority will inherently create a variety of skin tones b/c of the way genes combine. There will never be one general shared skin tone.

What a fantastic composition. The color balance and the way you've handled the shadows and highlights reminds me of artists like ~enayla and =Candra , yet you bring a great deal more realism into the fray.
Though because I'm a nerd about these things, I want to mention that the MC1R recessive gene variant for what we generally call red hair would also prevent a “medium skin tone.” Yet you could easily get away with auburn.

That depends. I think *MichaelO is talking about gradual, asymmetrically accelerating homogenization with continued sexual selection, whereas what you're saying would be true if everyone mated with the person most genetically distant from them for a few generations.

Medium skin tone...interesting, that. Asians wanna be white, Caucasians wanna be brown. The other day in Shanghai I saw this cover for Vogue featuring three blonds, one brunette, and two Chinese, all with long flowing hair and almond eyes. They all looked rather bland.
Making her bald is inspired. The barcode belies the sernity of this picture.

Actually, I think the red hair would have been a nice contrast to the blue background. I can tell you like single-color schemes but a throwing in a suprising color can look equally as good.
