this piece is probably my all time favorite. I had been painting with acrylic for 4 or 5 months when I started it. I didn't really know what I was doing, I had never taken an art class in my life(luckily) still haven't(unluckily), but some how was able to come up with this. I didn't for the longest time know who it was, but was at least able to explain it when I sold it. body language, shut off, it's pointing the finger, placing the blame. it doesn't want to talk about it, the phone line is cut. It's mouth is the road up to twin peaks, no cars. It's cheek is the surface of the moon, isolation. It's ear is a woman masturbating, she's taunting it. It's nose is a friends arm upside down with a hand around a door knob, shutting the door, closure. It's future hangs on the wall, it's a fetus coming out of another fetus, rebirth. the gasoline can is a symbol that the fires been started, burning it down(all in resemblance of the phoenix) the hole in the wall is merely a hole in the wall. I sold the piece after dragging it around for two years to a friend, borrowed it back for a show I was in , and was REALLY high and lost it on Muni. sad day.
