"No fart? No fart eh?" The king seemed impressed with your valor but not entirely convinced of your worth. "You are far stronger than you look warrior! Men! Bring me ....." The surrounding knights gasp loudly, they already know what their king wants of them, you can't help but notice fear boiling in each their eyes as if the great dragon itself posed no threat when compared to your next task.
"Bring me ... THE CUTE PUPPY!"
A cute puppy dog appears. Everyone shirks at its presents.
"PET THE BEAST! AND YOU PASS YOUR SECOND TASK!!"

*gulp* A-As you command, y-your majesty. *walks slowly until a few paces from the dog, bends knees and gets lower to the ground. Taking a nervous swallow, I offer a hand outward to the dog and make clicking beckoning sounds*
(I feel that the king should decide how the dog reacts to this and thereupon decide my fate)

The puppy, seeing your opened hand lets out a solitary bark of sheer delight gingerly placing its left paw on your hand, tongue out and tail wagging. Castle servants and hardened warriors alike howl in terror as the pup stares into your eyes, chaos breaks loose in the throne room where you stand. "ITS LOOKING INTO HIS EYES! HIS SOUL WILL BE DEVOURED!" The king himself too was panic stricken. "FLEE WARRIORS" He screams jumping to his feet. "EVACUATE THE TOWNS FOLK, THE CITY IS ALL BUT LOST!" Maddened with fear the king sprints with near super-human speed toward the dragons-chamber. Suddenly the kingly idiot's intention became clear, he was going to free the fiery beast chained within the castle walls in blind hope it would destroy the cute puppy!
What ever will our hero do!?!?

*looks around wildly!* Wh-what's happening, what's going on!? *steps backwards and falls over the dog, landing with a thud on stome floor* K-King?

The puppy yelps in pain and shock as our hero stumbles floorward amidst the chaotic throng, hitting the cold stone he instinctively hugs his head in fear he might be kicked by some of the many heavy metal boots clanking around the throne room.
"K-King" He yells in the panicked monarch's gerenal direction not knowing were he really was. In response the king offers our hero nothing more than a quick glance at the corner of his vision, and quickly he resumes his foolish task. A loud wooden bang indicates the door to the dragon's chamber had been swung open, the noise was the final straw for the puppy, its courage crumbles and it darts off cowering in a dark corner.
The crowned fool races down the rocky hallway beneath the castle, the air becoming hotter and more unbreathable with each step he took, after a few minutes he emerges in the lava pit were the towering dragon resides....
The king skids to a halt, he falls to his knees infront of the great beast and bursts out in tears.... "I let the cute puppy loose! W-what have I done! What have I done!"
...The beast was not pleased...

Looking around wildly, I realize that there isn't much I can do. I don't understand what is going on, but I am sure the King will explain. I race down the corridor he fled into and call out for his majesty. I can hear the dragon roaring ludly and the Kings shouting and sobbing. I run faster and see the King in the Beast's presence. I believe the dragon is still chained back and cannot harm us, but the King is so close to the rail, and those snapping jaws. I go to his side. "Majesty, your Grace, what is the matter, however can I help you sir?" It then occurs to me...could the dragon breathe fire? If that is to be true, the King and I are in grave danger.

The king looks up at our hero with the teary eyes of a pathetic defeated man. The gargantuan beast still struggling against its metal prison.
"Call me not your King!" He shouts over the cling-clanging of the chains and the loud roars. "I am no-longer worthy of such an honor!!" Raising to his feet as if possessed, he shoves you aside with a strong hand to your chest, he faces the struggling beast. Waiting to be eaten.
But the dragon isn't interested on feasting. Not long after you realize, it struggles from fear and not anger!. What could freight a monster this great so much? With a generous pull of its left wing its free itself of it prison, damaging the structural integrity of the cave.
Stalagmites crumble, stalactites fall in to the large open body of magma. The cave will concave at any moment. Confusion dominates the situation. That fool of a king still standing adjacent to you, his eyes closed, his arms wide open as if to literally embrace his own end. The dragon's head turning from side to side in panicked frenzy, looking for a way out, roaring its fears. Just what does it fear?

*covers my ears with my hands* The bellowing roars of the beast are so loud they themselve contribute to the cracking of the stone around us. Everything is shaking and as the Dragon rears to begin climbing out of the cave, a large paw clashes down quite close to us. I fall over and huddle, waiting to be crushed. The dragon will have to tromp right over us to get out of here and I am scared as to what such a huge beast can do to two small humans who are in the way.
I notice that the beast's eyes catch sight of me, and for a long minute they examine me. I am frozen with fear as everything crazes. the dragon roars! I cower in fear and fright! As the dragon struggles up onto the ledge that I am on with my once and former King, I see a claw coming at it me. I fear it is the end. As I accept that I am to become a smear in the stone, I am jerked upwards and hoisted off the ground. The dragon's sharp claws have grabbed my shirt and the beast is holding me. I want to scream, but currently the noises all around are far too loud to even make a scream worth it. I also notice that the king is is bouncing along on the other paw of the dragon as it climbs up and out of the cave.

Maybe because he forgot to chain the dragons muzzle and he is about to turn that man and the soldier into toast? Don't know, it looks really good even if I am not a fan of big-ass-dragons
