I love how the eyes are drawn to the main characters. Darth Vader, The jedi, and the woman shooting (Is she important or not? X3) Its an action scene captured at the perfect time, right before the jedi sees the sith and perhaps before the rebels are overrun by the stormtroopers.

You're basing this on A New Hope I assume? But remember that the Stormtroopers there had gotten orders to let the heroes escape.

But that wouldn't explain Empire or Jedi, where the ground troops manage to hit a hero all of one time [Leia, arm, Jedi.]

Amazing painting! That lighting, that smokes, details... And it's full of movements, every single character has its own story. And In the maintime DartWader is looking around sublimely.
