Description
Hi everyone, long time no see!It really is true, time sure does fly as you age! It's been 2092 days or around 50200 hours since I've submitted my last work here, but to me it seems... not that long ago. They say that one of the best weapons in your arsenal to fight with this illusion of quick passage of time, is to document it, and there are few things better at this than photography. I've been away from it, almost entirely, for the past few years and did not really intend to change anything about it, but came into possession of a brand new Canon 80D. Then, I thought, why not spend just a little more, buy some ND filters, dig out my old tripod and try doing some long exposure again, just for fun? And fun it was.
There is no way I am going to be as active as back in a day, but I will surely submit something, from time to time, from now on. This piece is sort of an experiment to see if this place is still alive. I thought about trying one of newer, more exciting platforms that emerged lately (e.g. tumblr, instagram) but concluded that I do not care about exposure anymore as much as I care about documenting. And in that case, it's just better to continue where I left off, instead of starting anew.
I think I might later post a larger update and some thoughts in a journal, if I ever get around to it. Now I just came to post some photos.
This one's from Gdynia, it's a place called 'Small Pier'. The evening was rather chilly and somewhat windy so I had to hold on to my tripod, to prevent in from taking a dive in the sand. I am rather happy how this one came out, as I never had any luck with weather at this location in the past.
