Who ?
February 24, 1885 Warsaw - September 18, 1939, Jeziory k. Dąbrowicy (Polesie) [Poland]
The hero (or anti-hero, as some could see him) - Witkacy or Stanislaw Ignacy Witkiewicz. Writer, Painter, Poet, Photographer, Philosopher, Officer in Tzar's army during WW I, Witness of the Russian Revolution in 1917, Explorator of the Trobriand Islands and many more. Friend of Hans Cornelius, Bronislaw Malinowski, Roman Ingarden, Tatarkiewicz and the list is longer. Also a declared foe of some of his former friends in some periods. Nonconformist, Radical. Experimented with various drugs, to mention peyote from the most interesting, to find and record the influence of seeing and perception. Master of the "psychological portrait". Helped Bruno Schulz (another hero from that times) to reach more audience with his works. Lover, womanizer, madman, genius, buffoon, jester, pfff... go find by yourself - it's not something to be told, you have to experience it, to feel it.
There's two more guys from that time I really respect - that's mentioned above - Bruno Schulz and Witold Gombrowicz.

why ?
Simply because he dared to see the world through his own eyes and dared to use his own words and actions to describe it or to twist it.
Because his works (drawings, paintings, novels, theories, photography) fueled my mind in the years of my youth. Inspired me to draw, paint, photograph, write - and even if I suck at painting I'm happy that I have tried. To think about something with passion and for long time and not even try to do it - it is the worst thing which could happen to one.

How is he?
Committed a suicide, shortly after start of WW II - just after "Evil Soviet Empire" decided that they also want a piece of our cake. Not the best way to say "goodbye" to the world, but I understand his reasons. Deceased. Dead. Not among the living. Eaten by worms or fishes already. Exhumed from the hypothetical grave, only to found that body belonged to an unknown Ukrainian woman. Playing long-term jokes after death. Pure Form...

II.
It's already done. My life is a tribute. Actions are. The memory and the respect for the weirdest joker. I'll have his volte-face(s) carved forever in my soul. And anytime I'll find myself in comfortable rut I will have the way out, not the ultimate one, of course, but the creative one.
And it's not finished...

III.
