Description
In spite of sordid daily jails and barred windows,I will always invent my free open space to fly away…
I’ll never accept any limit to my view over the world
And I will always escape from darkness anywhere anytime…
.°.
Shot from the top of the old church bell tower at Camplong, close to Bédarieux, where I live, Languedoc area, Southern France…
Canon EOS 400D + Canon Zoom 10-22mm @ 10mm + Hoya Circular Polarizer Filter.

Still such an emotive capture. You always catch such beauty in the simplistic

This photograph reminds me of that story which consists in three men that were kept in a cave ever since they born. They had to face a wall 24 hours a day and all they were able to see was their shadow provoked by some incoming light (from a similar hole, one just like the one you photographed). For them, everything around them was everything the world could contain. No one ever teach them to talk, only to eat, so they didn't really know what else was out there.
But, one day someone gave them the choice of running away or stay there, but they kept in the cave...
Anyway, congratulations for the lightning

How did you light this? Even in dusk the light outside would (if properly exposed) kill all the dark details in the interior! Is the 400D just that good?
As with all your work, incredible image (blah blah)

I've put a small quantity of flash on the walls and automatic depth of field for the whole view so the focus is rather good everywhere, then some work with Photoshop to properly balance eveything...
Thank you...!!!

I love the line, "I’ll never accept any limit to my view over the world."
I feel like you bottled the thoughts and emotions I've had lately, and expressed them through this image and your words much better than I ever could have.

well, thank you for your wonderful authentic art that goes beyond all those usual work to see around here. You're a great source of inspiration and it is not only for art, your work really goes further, i love your wonderful (philosophical) reflections on life. You reflect life with all its shades in your art, thats why I think its so precious!!(maybe this sounds a bit stupid but I really mean it)
