They rest there, on the edge of dreams, at the onset of nightfall, abandoned by the sun and waiting to sail again...such a simple yet profound metaphor. I love sunsets because they are a time of reflection, of one thing ending and another beginning, where everything seems to stop for just a moment abd breath a sigh of relief that another day has gone by. The boats become our memories, our reflections of the dying day, all crowded into one searing thought of what it all meant, one final burst of color before it all fades into the depths of time. A flickering moment when we can say, for once, "my god, life is this beautiful".

I really like how you've metered the shot on this to blacken out the foreground buildings and masts. As always the colours are incredibly vivid and inviting - who wouldn't want to stare at a photo like this all day?
To me the masts almost seem like a forest - their placement is random, and there is a nice varience in the height of them - makes for an interesting view - great eye!

Such a stunning image. Strong contrasting tones of blues, yellows and blacks. Serene at first, but there seems to be one hell of a storm brewing with with blackness in the cloud cover. The setting sun is almost like an inferno -- suggesting turbulence ahead. It is like having a fire lit in one's soul. Shades of the Apocolypse...
I think this is my most favourite of your work I have seen so far. Still loving what you do.
