Description
Multi-Media: Acrylic and crayon on brown construction paperGeosammy at created a Halloween Theme folder, so I painted this on Monday.
It was done in about four hours, so, forgive my sloppy technique. I did just a touch of PS3 manipulation to correct a compositional flaw in the upper right corner. Hope it's OK with y'all.
I just felt inspired, and for all that I am a Contributer to the group, this is my first actual Viking theme illustration.

This would certainly be a chieftan who died in battle; such burials were reserved to the upper classes. A longship was very expensive to build, and maintain.

Its interesting how they buried they're dead. I think they found a nordic womans belongings somewhere in the ruins of a sunken longship near the coast of canada. She must have been very important, i guess xD

LOL! Thanks, boo. I read about the Halloween Challenge on my group, and this image just popped into my mind.
The British have a lot of Viking DNA in their blood, so in that sense, you may be correct.
