"How did that thing find us ?"

"I don't think it did My Lord. As far as we can tell it's totally dead. No electrical activity at all."

"How did it get here ?"

"The storms last night washed it ashore. It could have been in the ocean for centuries."

"It looks too clean for that."

"Hmm ... true. We know the AIs have always had faster than light travel, they just can't navigate it so don't know where they are going. But we're one of the furthest planets to Earth so they managed to miss the whole Empire before crashing here."

"I'll report it to the Emperor. He keeps the techology to destroy it secret so as to stop others using it."
