Um, just thought I'd experiment with a rain effect for this one, plus I've just realized I've never drawn a sad horse before now - they've all been cheerful and happy! Can't have that now, 'cos I'm feeling mightily blue these days. So here's poor Aerynne, feeling a bit depressed... we all have those days, right?

But enough about me! First of all, I'd like to thank ~SilverBrumby for her awesome advice on how to get the reflection in the water. Thank ya, Brumbles! And I'd like to say I did NOT use a rain brush for the rain - I made it myself, with help from the tutorial listed at the bottom.

And I made my own watermark, too! Anyone recognize mah little fishy? Cookies for anyone who can find my signature on him...

So yeah. The background is kinda sucky - it didn't turn out how I thought it would. But then, when does it ever?

btw I have a question, I have the older version of photoshop, (6.0) and I do have the effect to make water ripples, but when I do it, the entire picture is rippled, I want to have half of the pic rippled. and how do you do reflection?

Thankies!! Well, what I did, was use the rectangle marquee tool, and copied the area I wanted to reflect and pasted it into a new document. Then I flipped it, added my effects, then pasted it back into the original picture! Does that make any sense to you? Probably not, lol.

Aww, Michelle, this is beautiful. I hope you're feeling alright. I've been sort of depressed lately, too. But, anyways, this is such an amazing picture. I absolutely love the rain effect. The scene is so full of emotion. I love Aerynne's expression, and the reflection is perfect. Amazing work.
