Um, just thought I'd experiment with a rain effect for this one, plus I've just realized I've never drawn a sad horse before now - they've all been cheerful and happy! Can't have that now, 'cos I'm feeling mightily blue these days. So here's poor Aerynne, feeling a bit depressed... we all have those days, right?

But enough about me! First of all, I'd like to thank ~SilverBrumby for her awesome advice on how to get the reflection in the water. Thank ya, Brumbles! And I'd like to say I did NOT use a rain brush for the rain - I made it myself, with help from the tutorial listed at the bottom.

And I made my own watermark, too! Anyone recognize mah little fishy? Cookies for anyone who can find my signature on him...

So yeah. The background is kinda sucky - it didn't turn out how I thought it would. But then, when does it ever?

aww Poor Aerynne

I really like your expirament with the sad mood. although the real butterfly on her bracelet is a really sweet touch. Although... the tear is my favorite touch, considering the fact that I can't draw tears correctly to save my life

although for a tiny critique, I think you should add a bit more definitive details to the grass so it looks more realistic. I'd recomend this tutorial here [link] it really helped me with my grass problems. Best of luck with the digital art I hope you get to feeling better soon

I found ur siggy on the fishy! I really like this piece a lot...the reflection is simply p e r f e c t , and so is the gloss on the mane/tail! You can even see the rainy sheen dripping off her back as her long green tail dips into the pond....its a nice serene pic, but very sad. I like it and I hope you get around to drawing some happy horses again
