I was going through my files this morning and noticed this picture, i had this up at my old account but totally forgot to upload it here!So, originally submitted March 16, 2004
Based of pencil sketch, painted in Photoshop.
The general theme of this picture is polution..but that is how i see it. I would love to hear your interpretation
Edit15-11-04: reuploaded a slightly different version. Changed the background a little. I've been meaning to put this in the prints program as a coaster so i had to change the dimensions somewhat..

Hummm... if you were to show only the bloody tears, one could interpret it more like a loneliness state or a sadness state of mind... since you add the blood dipping from the mouth, it gives a more violent perspective, a violent approach instead of a conceptual one... dunno...

Very emotive. This piece makes me feel desperation. Almost literally. I suppose that's the sinking aspect that's so vivid. The eyes suggest that the person is already dead, and the blood seems to remove any doubt.
This is an awesome piece. Nice work!

I don't know to me it seems like sucide over the lost of a love or rejection either way I add to favorites!

this was one of my favorite pieces! I was wondering why you hadn't put it up.
I imagine the face as a Continent in the world, and the blood are the poluted rivers that damage everything..
Polution is such a big problem, sometimes we need to see 'shocking' images to realize just how bad it can really be.

For me it's a very sad picture...First I thought, well, he's been murdered...but then, as I read your description, he looks to me as if he's seeing the end of the world, and therefore crying blood.
Well, anyway, this picture's got a very oppressing feeling...
As for the art itself, I like how you coloured he water, although I couldn't fathom what the white line is for (it gives the picture an almost mirror-like quality, uhm, yes

The white line is supposed to mark the horizon, maybe a foggy horizon
