identity, is the eternal search of the individuals as well the nations. many times it is assign by the culture in which one grows up. however, as a Colombian I grow up in a land where there seem to be little pride by the general population , on identify themselves with natives people whom descendants we are. the popular sentiment seems to be that they were without manners and savages. they did worship nature and heavenly host. however, they have a culture, they have a alphabeth, and numerical system arquitecture, art, precious metal metalurgy, farming, and an organized politcal structure. the spaniard and the dominant religious organization at the time the Catholic church, did rob the indigenous people of their identity, and supplanted with a corrupt form of Christianity, which instead of liberating from sin , slave to follow forms costumes and images that satisfy the senses but leave the soul with hunger for peace and love. however, as individual I have found that in Jesus and the Holy Scriptures, that In Christ there is no more Jew or Greek, men or woman, but the new Creature, been develop unto the Image of Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit by Faith. As a decedent of the muisca people, and those living in Sogamoso ,Colombia I have discover that the people of God is made of many nations, and tongs and peoples; I have found that my origins are important to understand who I am, However, of more tracendency is who I am in Christ. It is because of this that this piece of Art is important for me. I am a Child of God thought Christ from the descendants of the muisca people who live in Boyaca Colombia. and I am proud of it.
