I'm using a laptop right now with crappy resolution. >_<K THIS IS WHERE ALL THE MAGIC HAPPENS. I'm painting something normal-looking for a change. x)
I still need to add more buildings and stuff in the garden. Maybe even a gazebo.. Oh snap I need to add a sun too.
I decided not to make swiss-cheese clouds since they take too much time. Everything is basically created from bush + watercolor brush + airbrushing. Yepp.. I used MUCH more layers, but I just have a bad habit of merging them together. >_<
2 hours, SAI.

I cannot guarantee that I am able to make a good tutorial. Most of my CG'ing consists of spontaneous brushstrokes rather than something systematic.

Thanks! Backgrounds are pretty relaxing compared to cg'ing people depending on what colors you use. (which is why the shades are all blue here ^^) The most tedious part is drawing the rough outline of the buildings. T.T

Just look up tutorials to draw perspective (for buildings). After that, you can pretty much do whatever you want.
For detailed backgrounds, you just need more lines to your vanishing points if you plan to draw windows/balconies/etc. Other than that, everything else is just pure painting and blending, or in my case, brush + watercolor brush in SAI.

All you need to do is practice.
I tend to lose interest in making backgrounds before so they'd look ugly. Learning perspective isn't really hard, and can drastically change how you paint landscapes! C;

The problem for me mostly is perspective and scale. Recently I've been alot more adventurous with backgrounds, so hopefully I'll get better.

Perspective is actually really easy.
It's just a matter of drawing straight lines and connecting the dots. Once you master that, your scale will be accurate. You can find tutorials on DA or something. ;x

Yeah, I woke up at around 9AM-ish and my WIP was posted on 10:42AM. So it's actually 1:42, not including brushing my teeth/etc.~ 8D
