Thanks! I agree, it should be a little lighter. I thought it looked ok when I first did it, but it may need a bit more work.

I don't know if it helps but are you using any studio flash lights? If so, perhaps using the Inverse-square law (I don’t know if you’re familiar with it?) Your works have a very natural look with woman that have a natural beauty, very nice and I don't think there's anything wrong with the lighting. The soft light gives it a warm sensual look. Lighting the model more would make it less sensual and real. I don't think every picture needs to get pimped to look more appealing it's about what you want to express.

Thanks for your thoughts! This was done with a hotshoe mounted flash bounced off the ceiling. Everything I read says bounce flash is the way to go, however I've had some great results shooting flash straight on and adjusting various settings to make it look better.

yeah it's all about the shadow’s, I'd prefer a soft box or reflecting umbrella at anytime though. Have you seen the “One light” dvd? Zack is amazing with lighting and very well at explaining how and why
