No not really, but wouldn't it be cool if it really was!?
Had this idea a while ago and finally got myself pulled together to draw it, even if it's a bit messy here and there. Enjoy!
NOTE: Just a little nudge to everyone if they didn't figure; This is AFTER Twilight left Spike and recieving the friendship letters.

Oh my gosh! Ohmygoshohmygosh!!! This could have so easily been a part of the episode! And it was perfect! Dear Spike. His loyal little heart, coupled with his common sense, yes I can see him defy Discord like this.

Why can't it be the part of the episode? They didn't show us what happened with Spike after Twilight's epiphany - there could have been absolutely anything. So, as for me, this sequence IS a part of the episode.

in my mind, Spike seems like he embodies all six elements. He was born because of magic, isΒ loyal to the point of self-enslavement, always seems to know how to make someone feel better, is at least civil to everyone he meets, is as generous as someone that young can be (despite greed being genetic for his species) and he rarely lies. I'm surprised that the show hasn't used this yet, actually.

Great job you did something several other bronies have done yet the AMAZING writers at hasbro can't figure out and that's writing spike as a character and not just some tool or slap stick joke. So great job maybe some day the writers will figure it out but until then we have amazing world like this π

OH MY GOD, THE AMOUNT OF AWESOMENESS IN ONE COMIC IS UN IBLE
Where do I begin with this?!?!? Discord is on his A-game, saying all the right sh*t to mess with Spike. But unbeknownst to Discord, Spike, the little dickens, catches Discord on his bullsh*t and calls him out on it. Discord just leaves all butthurt. This is a new level of amazing, and I wish there was something higher than a favorite that I could give this comic. GOOD JOB MIKEY!! KEEP UP THE FANTASTIC WORK!
