For the group Squillo-Village
Everglade Village:
The Everglades live in a large mass of the island, filled with swamps, marshes, bogs and everglades. Here live the largest of trees. Since the ground is mostly covered with water, aside from the common small patches of land, 80-90% of the squillos here have taken to the treetops. Since the trees are so large, the branches are huge, long and twisted, intertwining with the other trees branches. Overhanging mossy vines shelter them among the many branches. In the center of their land where their village lies, is the largest tree in their Everglade forest. It gives out plenty of branches large enough to make homes, and at the top of the tree the branches separate to form a bowl/cage like home that could be given to the founder. Other types of houses can be huts made of large leaves and twig like undergrowth as if a nest was turned upside down. Overhanging moss and vines can be laid overtop of arches roots and branches to make shelters as well. This village is known best for their freshwater fish, minnows and frogs as food. They catch tropical birds often. Their best marketing material is their large variety of mushrooms and several types of large nuts. They have good strong wood material. As for accessories, they have the most variety of bird feathers for headdresses and similar objects. They are best known for there climbing, jumping and agility abilities. They leap, hang and swing from branch to branch with ease. They also might be considered good swimmers. These squillos would be considered the wisest of the villages, the queitest, but not necessarily the most peaceful.
Common dangers: Crocodiles, Very large fish, hanging by vines, quicksand, floods.
Woodland Village:
This villages territory is mainly made of dense forest, large trees, plenty of undergrowth, leaves and bushes, rocks and boulders, vines, and the occasional carnivorous plant. Their homes are made from burrows in the ground and wedges underneath boulders with overhanging vines, but mostly they dwell in hollowed out tree trunks and logs. These squillos are best known for their clothing designs. They weave vines and grasses together to form cloth, straw hats and capes. They market their birch tree paper well to the other villages. Their most plentiful in herbs. They have a good amount of berries, nuts and small animals to hunt. Their best skill is swinging from the vines.
Now as for their village campground, there are several small ones throughout the jungle. They are simply made of crevices in the ground, laid with short cut grass or bare dusty floor. A circle of hollowed out trees and rocks and holes are made for the Squillo homes and shops. For the founders homes, the largest tree or boulder will be chosen for them to inhabit. Sometimes within the tree houses the builders can make several stories/floors of rooms going up the log inside. This village would be considered the most peaceful, playful and enjoyable of the three. Considered the most organized and lawful.
Common dangers: Leopards, boa constrictors, poisonous plants and berries, thunderstorms, carnivorous plants,
Bahari Village:
Bahari Squillos live beside the ocean. Their village is located in a large groove inside the cliff face of the island. A large waterfall decorates the center, fed by a large river coming from the marsh land and leads into a lake-like pool below. A couple other, smaller streams feed into the freshwater pool as well. Along the sides of the cliff there are plenty of jutted rocks and mini caves that can be used as Squillo homes. Right in the center of the waterfall, a large stage like stone juts out and separates the fall into two. That leaves a doorway to a large cave that can be used for more homes, or possibly a mansion for the founder. Plenty of palm trees, boulders and sand decorate the outer rim of the groove, which leads out onto the beach. These squillos are best for their ocean fishing. They create their own simple fishing poles with sticks and grass. They could also be considered the most brave and daring of the villages. A favorite sport is diving from the stage-stone and into the pool. They are also best known for their jewelry. They make necklaces of shells, pearls, and the occasional rare gem. More importantly, with all their sand, the blacksmiths can make glass. Glass isn't found in any other village unless traded or sold. A favorite delicacy is crabs, clams, shrimp and lobster. They market their food and clothing to the other villages.
Common dangers: Sharks, hurricanes, tunnel floods, title waves/mavericks/mini tsunamis, swarms of bees.
