Description
In the christian myth the Cherub is one of the highest angels and really close to god.Well, I'm an atheist and so I don't believe in such stuff. But I'm a fan of supernatural things, beings, creatures and so on!
I thought: why should angels always look perfect and beautiful? Why can't they be a little scary or even a bit abstract?
Inspired by the fantastic art of Wayne Douglas Barlowe, I designed something that looks like a mix between a demon and an alien.

Love the idea. And although the creature has some problems of anatomical nature, it looks great as a whole. I canβt agree, though, with what youβve wrote about it not being beautiful. To me the cherub is as beautiful as it is disturbing.

well, when I look at the creatures I think I have to agree - it really is kind of beautiful . . . well, creepyness can be kind of sexy

I really like the idea and how this creature looks like. I like how you rdew every single muscle on it... but you should work more on shading.. if it was shaded better, it would be a stunnig piece IMHO... nevermind +fav anyways

you're right about the shading
it's not my thing, cause it tooks a long time and i have no patience . . .
But, I'm a german! I will work hard and without breaks to become better

Yep, i feel it similar ... but shading is one thing - I got used to it.. backgrounds are worse for me... total waste of time -.-

the creature is the most important thing! Some guys draw weeks for on picture . . . other guys take a look at it and say: "Well, thats awesome" but after ten seconds they look away and forget it mostly!
Live for the moment! Don't waste time with too much detail!
