Description
Hi,well, that was really fun! I always planned to draw some convergent creatures, but never had enough verve to make it. This sloth ended today!
Anyway, this compilation was something special because i used some basic designs from earlier pics of alien ecosystems. Exept for Titan I already imagened some creatures living in their extraterrestrial habitat and so it was kinda easy to imagine new and convergent ones.
All creatures have the same adadption (of course) - a floating animal with tentacles to catch prey, filling the ecological niche of jellyfish or similar earth equivalents.
EUROPA - this one is really simple and actually looks just like a jellyfish. The blue stuff is for attracting prey.

JUPITER - an highly advanced floater inside Jupiters thick atmosphere. The colouring is a bit over the top.

TITAN - OK, i was a bit clueless when thinking about this one. I was like "its floating inside liquid methan so it should look . . . gnarled?!?!" It looks kinda sad and ugly, but i actually really like its simple structure.
GLIESE 581g - this one has a strange evolution. It developed from a bug-like descendant which evolved a gas-filled abdomen to float over meadows and catch unsuspecting prey. Maybe a bit far-fetched, but c'mon it's exobiology! mickmcdee.deviantart.com/art/W…
KEPLER 62e - this one is a relative of the creature on the right from this pic: mickmcdee.deviantart.com/art/L…
So, hope you like it! Maybe next time I'll draw some analogies . . .
Keep on watching and please comment!!!

bubble jelly, burgerhead gas floater, methane jelly, insectoid jelly and marine jelly!, great work on these alien critters and the convergent evolution.

Man-o-wars aren't jellyfish, they're siphonophores.
