Story:
The story is pretty similar to how the Ice Climbers met the fellow Earthbound fighters, Ness and Lucas.
Ever since Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has been released, the Ice Climbers have finally returned since their absence from SSB4.

Shortly after greeting the fighters and veterans in Smash, not all fighters were greeted... Nana suddenly felt like looking for one fighter who was almost never greeted since their return... someone flat... someone... completely two-dimensional... the character who started all this after saving Nintendo (whose made playing cards for G&W sake at that time!)... you know who!... Mr. Game & Watch!

Nana was already on the quest to look for that particular 2-D boy, and, guess what... she already found him! However, he was talking to his flat-zone friends, alongside Pac-Man and R.O.B.. Swallowed with jealously, she thought she'll see him later. Before she got a chance to walk away, Popo called out to her name and everyone turn their heads to her direction. PAC-MAN was the first to react and wave to them. Popo was about to go over, but he witnesses his sister's bashful face the moment she look at Mr. G&W. Mr. G&W was lost for words and went over to her. Nana wanted to turn away, but he was already in front of her. Mr. G&W couldn't help, but he grinned at her and welcomed her back. Not knowing what happened, as soon as he weclomed her, tears started forming in her eyes and she felt embarrassed that she turn away from him before they fall. Mr. G&W grabbed her hands and squeeze them, causing her to look at him again and she saw a gentle smile on his face as he said it again, "Welcome back!".

Who knew just by saying those words would make her break down in front of him? Nevertheless, she happily nods with a blush saying, "It's good to be back."

Dialouge:
Popo: "Mr. G&W... Is that really you... after Brawl?"
Mr. G&W: "Yes, sir! And I am manly buffed in the transition!"
Nana: "And aside from R.O.B., who're all of your friends?, especially the yellow one!"
PAC-MAN: "Even the style of my eyes can't even recognize me. Well, my new design appears to be mostly obscure until I was released in SSB4."
PAC-MAN: "Well, allow me to give you a hint... WAKA WAKA!"
Popo/Nana: "*gasp* PAC-MAN!?*
PAC-MAN: "*winks* Yup! The one and only yellow bane of ghosts! And you two must be the bone-chilling duo, the Ice Climbers! Welcome back!"
R.O.B.: "*BEEEEPPPIING clear-throat!*"
Popo/Nana: "Hmm?..."
R.O.B.: "You two already know me.... the Robotic Operating Buddy! Nice to meet you buddies again... although you contanstly annoyed us with your chain grabs!"
Mr. G&W: "And wobbling as well... because, Melee."
Popo/Nana: "*sniff* *hic* *sob*"
PAC-MAN: "Ahhhh.... icies! I think they're sad they regreted those chain grabs/wobbles they done against you two!"
R.O.B.: "Woah! Woah, woah, woah.... hey, hey, hey! Climbers! What's wrong."
Nana: "*sniffle* We're... sorry for constantly irrtating y'all with your chain grabs, especially me..."
Popo: "And... we know that you and Sakurai are gonna nerfs us so hardly... we're....*gulps* we're...."
Mr. G&W: "Huh?"
Popo/Nana: "WE'RE NEVER GONNA BE THE BEST CHARACTERS IN THE GAME ANYMORE OR EVER AGAIN! *bawling hysterically*"
PAC-MAN: *Gracious! Guys... listen, listen, listen!"
Nana: "Please, don't nerf us!!! You can atleast remove chain grabbing or wobbling, we don't care. WE'RE SORRY! *sobbing*"
Mr. G&W: "Remove chain grabs... wobbles...? Heck no! What made you say that?..."
Mr. G&W: "Can I tell you two something?"
Popo/Nana: "*sniff* Huh?..."
Mr. G&W: "I'm not annoyed because of those chain grabs/wobbles! I'm just happy that you are viable! That is all that matters, even if I might be a low-tier myself! I'm still happy, and I still remain viable myself! So, I don't care at all!"
Nana: "You really mean it...?"
Mr. G&W: "Yup!"
R.O.B.: "You two may have caused a huge overwhelmance in previous games... but that never means we don't wanna be your friend!"
PAC-MAN: "That's right! You're still gonna remain as top-tier in Ultimate along with all of us!"

Popo/Nana: "*continue sobbling again*"
Mr. G&W, R.O.B., PAC-MAN: "Ahhh... don't cry now, wipe those tears! Shhhhh....."
R.O.B.: "Even though you might look different compared to the rest of the roster..."
PAC-MAN: "And even though you taken over the previous games, along with Meta Knight and Jigglypuff..."
Mr. G&W: "We are still gonna love you guys... just the way you are."

Popo/Nana: "*sniffs, then smirks* Thank you... retro fellows."
