I practice A LOT and use references when I want a specific pose, usually references of real horses cuz that's what my style leans towards

Ahh I see. So referencing really helps. That's good to know. Many people doubt references. So do you also use reference for more human like stuff as well?

References are VERY helpful, I don't understand why some people are against them. And I don't use them a lot for humans only because I've been drawing humans for so long and have a much better grasp on human anatomy, but I'll still look up a reference occasionally if I can't get a pose right

Again that makes sense. Yeah people always say that it is useless but I think it really does help I've gotten a lot better due to references but I'm hoping to get even better.
