Another version based on the same view. I'm slowly feeling my way through this new approach. Part of my goal is that the drawing always suggests form and space, but never enough to give you closure. Backgrounds overlap foregrounds, perspective lines converge at different horizons, and contours that do not close. There needs to be constant tension, in an uncanny valley between representation and abstraction.Painters like Francis Bacon were able to do something similar with the human figure, and I wondered how would he have painted a landscape.
