Born and raised in The Narrows, one of the worst districts in Gotham, Harper had to care for both herself and her brother alone due to her father constantly spending months at a time behind bars. Her life changed when Batman saved her brother Cullen from being gay-bashed. Batman's intervention left a lasting impression on the young woman, with Harper managing to discover the devices Batman uses to disable the city's security cameras, and improved them with technology of her own design. She constantly pursued Batman and Robin, wanting to help but was frequently rejected. Not willing to take no for an answer, she continued. After the disappearance of Batman, much like Tim Drake, she began to investigate Batman and in the progress ran into Red Robin. She eventually breaks into his "Robin's Nest" in order to find out what he knows but is quickly caught by him. She soon gains his trust and is invited onto his team.

After reading Batman Eternal i'm absolutely in love with Harper! One of the best things to come out of the New 52 in my opinion!
