Lucas' girlfriend, Laila, used to be best friends with Evelyn. It also worked out, because Evelyn's boyfriend, Shawn, was Lucas' best friend. Laila and Evelyn had gotten along perfectly for years, until one day they had an argument, and Laila decided she didn't want Evelyn in her life anymore, but rivalry still burned hot between them. Lucas and Laila were watching a movie on the couch when Laila got a text message from Evelyn. She almost ignored it, but gave in to curiosity. The message read:

Lucas looked over and saw the text. He got excited because there was finally a chance the two girls might friends again! It didn't really affect him much, but he always felt bad about how things turned out between them. Her urged Laila to go, promising her it would be great, but Laila was suspicious. Why would Evelyn want to become friends again so suddenly? Why now? Finally, after half an hour of pleading, Laila begrudgingly agreed to go. "I better not regret this", she muttered before going to change into something nicer. Lucas laid back down on the couch to wait.

When the couple arrived at the restaurant, Shawn and Evelyn were waiting outside. Evelyn was all laughs and hugs, slightly to Laila's annoyance. Lucas and Shawn said "hi" to each other too, and the four went inside. When the hostess greeted them, Evelyn told her it was a party of four. Lucas thought it was odd when she requested a table out of sight from the rest of the tables. The hostess sat them down and gave them their menus, and left. Evelyn tried to start up a conversation with Laila but only managed to get short, sometimes one-worded replies. But she was persistent, and by the time they had ordered their food, Laila and Evelyn were chatting almost as comfortably as Lucas and Shawn were. While they waited for their food to come out, Evelyn suggested they give her the money for their meals then, just in case. Lucas thought it was odd again, but saw no reason to distrust her.
The two couples talked some more until finally the food arrived. It all looked delicious to Lucas, especially his bowl of ramen. Steam wafted off of the golden broth, and he hastily grabbed his chopsticks. Before he could have his first bite, however, Evelyn stopped him.
"Oh, wait, wait! Before we eat I just want to say that I'm happy we could make up Laila. I know we haven't been very friendly with each other recently and I'm just glad we can put that behind us!" Evelyn smiled, and Laila smiled back, saying how she felt the same. "Okay, now we can eat, Shawn" Evelyn said. Lucas was confused at the wording, but turned back to his food. He was about to have his first bite when a sicking feeling came over him. He looked up and saw a green light coming from a small device in Evelyn's hand. The world began to move around him; growing bigger and bigger- except for Laila. Lucas realized they were both rapidly decreasing in height, until the bench they had been sitting on just a moment ago now felt larger than two highways, and the space underneath the table looked like the Grand Canyon. But the true fear came when Lucas noticed the two pairs of massive pillars down below. No, not pillars- legs. One of the pairs began to move, and a ground-shaking rumble sent Lucas and Laila to their feet as the rhythmic booms with each of Shawn's footfalls pummeled their eardrums. Lucas felt cold, and Laila began to cry as they saw the towering, godlike form stand over them.

  Lucas craned his neck to look up at his friend, who now looked so big Lucas had trouble with the concept that he was an ordinary human. He was a god. His fluffy black hair and caramel skin, his titanic stature, and the condescending look on his face as if he was looking at two amusing little animals. Shawn reached his colossal hand out towards the two, and because they were petrified with terror, he easily swept them up and closed his hand around them. The pitch darkness and humid heat combined with the crushing pressure of Shawn's hand was enough to send both Laila and Lucas into panic attacks; their breathing becoming sporadic and tears rolling from both of their eyes as they waited in the blackness of Shawn's closed fist. Suddenly the ground gave way and they were sent plummeting downward, the sudden blinding light disorienting the both of them. When they finally hit the ground, it was cold and smooth, but sticky. It was Evelyn's plate. Lucas and Laila slowly looked up to see her grinning down at them mockingly. Ordinarily, her small face and "chipmunk cheeks" seemed friendly, but in her now massive state, she was imposing and sinister-looking. Huddling close to Laila, Lucas was too stunned to react before a massive glob of spit smothered him and his girlfriend, folding their legs out from under them and slamming them into the plate. Thunderous laughter came from Evelyn's cavernous mouth, sending smaller droplets of spit onto the shrunken couple as well as giving them splitting headaches.
The rest of the night was comparable to Hell for Lucas and Laila. They were flicked around, poked, dangled, spat on, belched on, dropped in scorching hot soup, squeezed, and more. A cold and ominous tone fell upon the room, at least, in Lucas' mind, when Evelyn yawned and said two dreadful words: "I'm bored".
"Well we finished our food, I think we should have our desert and call it a night", Evelyn said, eyeing Laila's shivering, tiny form on her plate. Before Lucas could run to help her, the shadow of Evelyn's hand fell over the plate and Laila was raised kicking and screaming into the air between her two gargantuan fingers. Lucas ran to follow, but he too felt the floor leave his and tortuous pressure fell upon his front and back. Shawn's divine digits lifted him higher and higher, everything moving so fast that Lucas could barely comprehend, until finally he was gazing into the stretched maw of his friend. Shawn's pinkish lips glistened, contrasting his slightly darker skin. His hot, moist breath rushed over Lucas, and the tiny boy felt like nothing more than prey, a primal fear set over him like a mouse at the mercy of his ravenous friend. Lucas felt himself land on a squishy yet firm, slimy surface. His blood ran cold, but all around him the heat was unbearable, and the moisture in the air was almost enough to send him into a coughing fit. Lucas frantically crawled towards the light beyond Shawn's lips, but was met with only more horror: Laila was perched right between Evelyn's teeth, a wide smirk forming on the giantess' lips. Laila cried out and reached for Lucas as he did the same. Suddenly she was coming closer and closer, until Evelyn's lips made contact with Shawn's, and Laila managed to pry herself partly into Shawn's mouth.
"LUCAS! LUCAS HELP ME I DON'T WANT TO DIE! LUCAS PLEASE LUCA-" Laila, screamed, before she was sucked back into Evelyn's mouth. Through the sound of the two lovesick titans lips, smacking and schlucking, Lucas heard Laila's muffled screams. Then a sickening crunch. Then silence. Lucas felt weaker than ever, barely to keep himself sitting upright on his knees.
