Description

With the two explorers losing track of Captain Charlie, Alph and Brittany took upon themselves to look around the area they are in and search to find any clues of their teammates or any fruits. As they travel across the lands with the large squad of pikmin tailing behind them, the two were having a bit of a hard time finding any trace of fruits to take back to the S.S. Drake. The two were about to leave the tiny area and go to the next section, with a large horde of Yellow Wallywogs easily seen in the distant, before suddenly they hear their kopad going off. Alph picks his up and examines it.

"What is it Alph, is it a signal of the captain?" Brittany asks.

"Hold on.....nope, not the captain, though the S.S. Drake appears to be picking up some strange signals coming from....over there." Alph points towards what looks like a massive large structure that can be seen behind the massive plants.

"Ugh, to think the captain has to somehow get himself separate from us again." Brittany says, annoy that Charlie got himself separated only because some creature manage to knock the ship a bit and grab his favorite rubber ducky. "Well, we might as well check to see what this new signal is, we might find some new fruits finally."

"If not, then maybe can find the cosmic drive key as well." Alph says as he and Brittany, and the 100 hundred pikmins that were derping around, make their way to the massive structure.

After about an hour of traveling, the two manages to walk inside the structure after finding a big hole that allowed them to easily travel through. Once inside, the two were a bit a awe of the massive space the structure is in the inside. They thought that maybe there would be a series of stuff and objects everywhere, or maybe thinking that this might be some den of another massive beast they would have to defeat to get to the source of the new signal, or maybe naive enough to find some mountain of fruits all for the taking. But no, inside, the two see what looks like one massive structure with four pillars for it to stand in the center of the area with something hovering far above it, another similar structure that far away from it against the wall. Besides from what the two can see from the ground floor, the only thing of note is an absurdly massive door like structure far in the distant, with it too big for the two to figure out on how to push or crawl under.

"What in the world lived in the place, giants?" Brittany remarks as she sees the door and massive structures. "Anyways, where is the source of the signal, Alphie?"

"According to the kopad, up there...but its now saying there's two." Alph says as he looks at the device and scans the area and sees both signals are on both massive structures.

"Hmm, then we will have to split to two teams to figure out what the signals are." Brittany says.

"In that case, I'll take the one up on that structure," Alph points at the massive structure that is on the center of the area.

"Ok, then I'll go ahead and take the other one." Brittany says as she immediately makes her way the structure. "Taking most the pikmin." She says as she blows her whistle and take about two third of the pikmin before Alph could object. Not wanting to get into the discussion of what pikmin the other should split into teams, mainly due to the fact they are in a time limit, Alph proceeds to go to his target designation.

After what felt like forever for the two, both manages to get to top of the structures. Once up, both members are a bit confuse of what they see. For starters, Alph doesn't see much, but instead sees a big platform with an X on it. Odd for it to be giving a signal as Alph looks around and sees the platform is appearing to be connecting to what is on Brittany's side by a massive cable. For Brittany, she sees two massive contraptions that are bigger than the S.S.Drake. Both contraptions look like some kind of old technology to a forgotten race. One device looks like it has a lever and dial, while the other has rods pointing out, two buttons with strange symbols of G and S, and a red button that is far too big for her only that she will need most if not all the available pikmins.

"What are we looking at, Alph?" Brittany says to her team mate through the kopad.

"I have no idea, maybe some kind of strange puzzle experiment or something of the sorts." Alph tries to figure out what the contraption and platform is supposed to do. Before Alph can even try to figure out what the device can do...

"Hey, look above you?" Brittany points up with Alph looking up to see what his teammate sees. High above him, Alph see what looks like another device, and a small fruit, tied up in a rope that is hovering high above the koppaite, too high up for Alph to use the wing pikmins.

"Ok, so that maybe the source of the signal." Alph says.

"But how do we get, I don't think the wing pikmins will be willing to fly all the way up there." Brittany says.

"Maybe the devices on your side might be the key." Alph says. Brittany looks around and kind of figure out the same, though don't know how it would help lowering the device and fruit.

"Ok, but with how big some of these things are, I think I'm going to need all the pikmins to be able to do anything." Brittany says as she looks at the button.

"Ok, then I'll send them your way." Alph says as he gives command to the pikmin. "I'll stay on this side incase I see something on your side or something else is require here.

The two explorers wait for Alph's pikmins to cross the cable before they finally made it to Brittany. With all the pikmin under her directions, Brittany figures that maybe using flying pikmins on the lever would be the most effective, rock pikmin might be best on the two small buttons with the strange symbols on it. She uses the yellow pikmin on the strange rods, thinking they might require electricity. And finally she uses all the remaining pikmin on the big massive button. She toss all of them to button, watching it barely wiggle even under the mass weight, slowly descending as the sound of metallic clicking can be soon heard. Before the the two explorers can speak to see if what Brittany did even works, the larger device of the two started to make a winding noise, follow by the sight of electricity sparking out.

"Um, Alph, I don't think this thing is safe to continue." Brittany says as she looks at the massive rod that is spitting out electricity and smoke.

"I agree, whistle the pikmins and get out of there before the thing might possibly explod-" Alph was about to finish his statement before both explorers notices that the device making more noise, and the massive rod started to glow. Before anyone knew it, the device fires off some kind of laser and it was making its way right towards what in front of it, the platform that Alph is standing on. Brittany barely manages to look toward the direction of where Alph is and notice that he disappeared as soon as the laser shot out and made contact with the platform.

"Alphie!" Brittany panics, worry what just happen to her teamate. She didn't even whistle her pikmin to stop what they are doing as she tries to make a made dash towards the other structure with the cable line that connects the structure. As Brittany is doing her best to move toward the platform as fast as she can, the pikmins continue to fiddle with the two massive device, minus the pikmins on the massive red button as they just stand there.

Brittany manages to cross the cable and makes a mad dash to the platform, trying to figure out what just happen to Alph. Once there, she doesn't see Alph at all, almost like he got vaporize or disappeared from the face of the planet. However, before Brittany could fear the worse, her eyes notices something on the center of the platform, something glowing blue and tiny. She got on her knees and moves closer to the tiny speck on the platform. As she did, she wonders if her eyes are playing tricks on her as she could have sworn the speck is in fact Alph.

"A-alphie?" She studders in confusion as she doesn't know how is this possible, besides the device she and the pikmin fiddle with. She shakes her head as she wants to confirm this is Alph by picking him up first. However, before Brittany could reach her hand close enough to pluck the tiny speck, and also giving said tiny speck a panic attack as he soon find himself starring at a mountain of pink that was about to ram into him, Brittany hears another noise and turn her head to the direction of the noise. Much to her dismay, Brittany realizes she left the pikmin alone with the devices, and the device is about to be activated once again. Brittany, and Alph, didn't had time to react as the device started to glow once again, and soon fires out another laser that is about to hit one of them.

(A drawing that has been waiting to be edit and uploaded since november when i went to my hunting vacation. Thought of this idea when I played pikmin deluxe the entire time i was in vaction. Anyways, just one more drawing left that I had stock piled for months.)
