SO. Anyone who reads my journal will know that for my finals at University I'm studying The Thing! Whilst I am looking at both the 1992 and 2011 versions I find myself drawn more towards the 2011 version... There's more room for theory in that one? I can't explain it... ; ; I'd have to show you my sketchbook and let you read that instead!

This is a picture done for my supporting research work/non-final pieces. I figured seeing as I never show any work I do for University, this would be a nice change! It's Kate and Edvard from the 2011 film; I don't really want to describe and talk about all the theories and things I've had to compare the characters to here, so basically, it's based on the idea that Kate has the audacity to oppose the station commander. Or at least, an imitation of the station commander! basically

Tried to keep the overall dull/cold colours that the film used. Originally the image was going to be super psychedelic and fiery, but that attempt didn't really work out... orz!

I have no idea who these characters belong to but they're certainly not mine! Hehehe.
