Too bad Harry didn't feel any guilt in the actual books. He was briefly shocked, then switched to worrying about losing his potions cheat-sheet and not being allowed to play Quidditch. I like your version better than the guilt-free Harry of canon.

agreed!! Even outside of my preference for drarry, I like to imagine a scenario in which Harry's gryffindor heart of good felt really bad for doing something so awful who was at best a school bully
