Fine, yes, yes it is. I ended up getting upset last night, and then not being able to sleep. Thankfully, I spent the time watching hide videos that I've never seen before. Saved my ass again. I guess I still have a lot to thank him for. **sigh**

This is a very samey photo, sorry about that. I had to do these yesterday for some layouts I was working on.
Kanji means "oni"~ Demon or devil. I'm usually against using Kanji in my art, because to me, it feels pretentious, because I'm english.
I have a habit, of saying "Sou desu neee" all the time, I ended up saying right behind a Japanese person without realising. Then proceeded to kick myself with how patronising/insulting it must have been. Well, I guess she was Japanese, her head spun round like the Exorcist. She didn't look pissed off or anything. Just puzzled....probably because her beautiful native tongue was being butchered by yet another spazzy westener. **hangs head in shame**

I love this picture SO MUCH
I printed it out, and am using it for art class (we're drawing and shading faces).
Is that alright with you?

Aww!! I'd be scared too. I think I'd probably give it a try though. I think the worst thing is, I'd wade in like I know what I'm doing...then be like...."Ahh, ja....Wakarimasen T^T Gomen." **runs and hides**

That is an ABSOLUTELY stunning picture. (Like many of your photos <3) I just can't stop looking at it, and I get so drawn in each time I scroll back up to take another peek.

I think that it's fun and exciting to use Japanese and/or other langauge in every day speech. HOWEVER there comes a boy where you've crossed into fan-gibberish:
"Look at that Tickle-Me-Elmo--IT's so Kay-way-I!" (...kawaii. Because I can't possible imagine pronouncing it any way other than the correct way, but I'm sure lots of fangirls can) That's the point where it starts to bother ME--and it's certainly not my native tongue. XP Personally... I worry about speaking it randomly after I've taken several years of Japanese courses at a university and studied abroad, kthx. ^.~ I fail at self-teaching, so my speech is limited some really old variation of garbled numbers I learned in 2nd grade and a few misc words (...like "kawaii" and "neko" *shame*)

Other misc: It's amazing the way you hide your joints. It's actually a bit funny (this is what brought this little side-section on XP)--I remember when I first saw these dolls how realistic they looked to me and how I had trouble telling them apart from real people, but now I do it without thinking. It's just like--"oh, that's a doll." Though I suppose I do the same thing with men in anime but don't really think about it. XP

Hahaha! I hate that too, I'll either speak a single sentence of Japanese or a single sentence of English. I rarely meld the two. Mine is mostly conversational. With numbers, languages, food and drink...It's pretty casual stuff.

I don't ever intend to hide the joints, I think it just.....happens. It's probably another subconcious thing like looking at dolls and anime males.

Anywho. I'm glad you really like this picture. ^_^ Personally, I don't think it does the album ..or the song Blue Blood justice, but....meh.

The very same kanji means "ghost" in chinese XD

i don't think it's pretentious- especially if its well executed. I think that sometimes, Japanese is just very expressive compared to some languages. XD

You're right. My class mates, from Japanese class all use their language skills and happially talk Japanese to anyone they think might understand it. I'm always reluctant....Though I like to talk to myself in Japanese. O.o (Not that I know much, I dropped out of class and it was only a baginners course.)
